According to new set photos, Coronation Street is ready to deliver some nail-biting drama.
These paparazzi photos (below) of Dev, Aadi, and Asha Alahan are dominated by a crumpled automobile, implying that the unfortunate threesome will be linked with villain Harvey Gaskell’s imminent comeback.
As you can see, Weatherfield veteran Dev, played by Jimmi Harkishin, stands alongside his broken-down automobile, just moments before a prison van slams into the back of it.
This out-of-control vehicle is hauling drug dealer Harvey, so there’s some serious danger headed their way — will Dev, Aadi, and Asha make it out alive?
Will Mellor, who plays Harvey, spoke about the difficulties of filming some scenes during COVID-19 earlier this summer.
“I had a clear idea of how I wanted to portray him. I informed the director and producer about the situation. ‘Listen, I want to play this man straight and true,’ I said. I don’t want to ham it up and be a soap baddie.’ I wanted to play it completely straight, so you’d think you could do some serious harm.
“It’s difficult to accomplish that in COVID because you have to maintain a three-metre gap. I couldn’t physically contact anyone. “The danger had to be in the way you looked at them and spoke to them,” he stated.
“With this role, I’ve done a lot of things. The way he speaks to me, the way he holds himself, the way he looks at others… it’s all part of his personality.”
