After her controversial video, Sam Frost returns to Instagram with a letter dedicated to her family, friends and Home and Away colleagues

Sam Frost has returned to Instagram weeks after uploading a contentious video with a passionate statement announcing her unvaccinated status.

After getting outrage for her comments regarding the Covid vaccine, in which she linked “segregation” with those who want the vaccine and those who don’t, the 32-year-old cancelled her account.

Sam sent a now-deleted statement on her Instagram stories on Wednesday night, thanking her fans, friends, family, and co-stars for their support during what is perhaps the greatest issue of her career.

The star of Home and Away composed her letter over a picture of the sky, and she began by thanking everyone who had given her words of support.

“Thank you for the outpouring of love and support over the last several weeks,” she wrote.

“I received tens of thousands of kind notes and emails, and I appreciate it more than you can imagine.”

Sam proceeded to thank the people who had supported her throughout her life.

“Incredibly thankful for my friends, family, and coworkers who held my hand and loved me unconditionally during the storm,” she added.

“Kindness always prevails,” she said as she signed off her post.

“Thank you xxx from the bottom of my heart.”

Before sharing on her storey, the former Bachelorette took a photo with her hairdresser Ella to show off her new hair colour.

“Freshhhh ✨ @ellajeanhairandmakeup,” she said in the post.

Georgie Parker, her co-star, showed her support for the new look by sharing a flurry of heart emojis.

Sam said she had “good reasons” not to get the vaccine but chose to keep them private in the now-deleted video, then called for “empathy” for those who choose to remain unvaccinated.

In the five-minute video, she says, “I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing.”

“However, I feel that the world is reaching a stage where there is a lot of division and harsh judgement, and it’s taking a toll on my mental health.”
