Former Home and Away star Johnny Ruffo’s ‘thank you’ post leads to outpouring of love

On Valentine’s Day, former Home and Away actor Johnny Ruffo paid a sweet tribute to his partner Tahnee Sims.

It’s also not the typical glammed-up, out-to-dinner photo that couples usually post to Instagram.

Instead, Johnny, who is battling his second battle of brain cancer, shared a sweet photo of the couple laughing, cuddling, and wearing identical beige bathrobes in what appears to be a hotel bed.

They appear to be total soulmates in each other’s presence.

He commented, “Happy Valentine’s Day to this lovely lady.”

“Thank you for the laughs, for looking after me, and most importantly, for being you xxxxxx.”

In the comments area, Johnny’s followers poured their hearts out, expressing their love and support for the happy-looking couple.

One follower said, “I love this… perfect love.”

Another wrote, “Actually love you guys.”

“Awww, love you both,” one fan said. “It’s great to see you both happy.”

On Tahnee’s Instagram, she shared a cute photo of the two wearing matching hotel slippers, with Johnny dressed in a black T-shirt and shorts and her in a hot pink shirtdress.

With three read love-heart emojis, she captioned the photo, “My eternal Valentine.”

Johnny wrote beneath the photo, “You look so fantastic here, what did I ever do to acquire someone so gorgeous and amazing xxx.”

“Hello, nice people,” says the narrator. Lynne McGranger, who starred in the TV show Home and Away, penned a letter.

After his brain cancer reappeared in late 2020, Johnny gave his followers regular social media updates on his second health battle.

“It is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know that after an unexpected week of seizures and severe migraines, I now have another enormous struggle ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned,” he wrote after his diagnosis.

“However, I’m going to dig deep and fight this s**t disease once more.”
