Home and Away Spoilers – Will Tane survive as his stalker strikes?

Summer Bay gathers for Martha’s special fundraising evening in the penultimate episode of Home and Away in the UK for 2021, but a terrible turn of events might have devastating ramifications for a number of people…

It’s been two months in the making, but Martha Stewart (Belinda Giblin) has finally gotten her chance to shine at her black-tie gala dinner. The only problem is that Martha has vanished!

Martha decided to attempt to raise cash for mental health awareness immediately after her most recent stay in the hospital, and she came up with the excellent solution of merging the fundraising with her innermost love – painting, with the help of her daughter Roo (Georgie Parker).

The concept, which involved Martha’s Merimbula art class students each contributing an artwork related to mental health that would later be auctioned off, was a big success. After their physical facility closed, Ryder organised an online auction, and sales began to pour in.

The auction ended last week, and the Stewarts were blown away by the sum raised. The only thing left was the last black-tie dinner at Salt, when the ultimate amount would be unveiled along with Martha’s own unique artwork.

When the big night arrived, Roo, Alf (Ray Meagher), and Marilyn (Emily Symons) were disappointed to read a message from Martha stating that she wouldn’t be going since it had all gotten to be too much for her.

As we return to the action in the last episode, the family rallies to find Martha while also honouring her requests to complete the final preparations.

Irene (Lynne McGranger) adds that even Martha’s art students haven’t heard from her when Roo goes to Summer Bay House for an update. Roo becomes concerned, fearful that Martha has abandoned them once more.

Later that evening, when the event at Salt gets underway, Alf discovers Martha sitting alone near the surf club. He assures her that he understands her fear, but that all the hard work has already been done, and that now she may enjoy the benefits of her labour. He’ll be there for her every step of the way, too.

Sam Mac, the weather presenter on Seven’s Sunrise AM show, has arrived in Salt as the evening’s VIP visitor. As they try to cover for Martha’s absence, Marilyn has been keeping him engaged with talk about tarot cards, so there’s a breath of relief when Alf and Martha stroll in together just in time.

With the evening’s events got started, Martha opens her address by describing how her mental health has had a significant influence on her life.

As Martha begins to wobble, Alf comes to her aid and assists her in finishing her remarks to the visitors. When it’s finally time to show Martha her own artwork, she’s moved by the good response.

When Roo then announces the final amount raised, a whooping $48,000, there’s even more reason to rejoice!

The evening was a big success, but no one realises the danger they’re about to encounter…

That threat comes from Tane Parata’s (Ethan Browne) unknown stalker, who chooses to step up their game by attempting to murder him!

Tane’s problems began immediately after he met newcomer Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) at the club where she worked and hooked up with her. He wasn’t impressed to learn that Flick’s brother was Summer Bay’s newest copper Cash (Nicholas Cartwright), but Tane couldn’t resist her allure and the two hooked up a couple more times in the weeks that followed.

Tane decided to put an end to it before Flick felt too connected, since it became evident that she was seeking for more than a one-night stand. Despite Flick’s bravery, it was obvious that Tane’s rejection had affected her.

Tane arrived home on the same day to see a solitary red rose on his doorway. Tane had little doubt that Flick was guilty when more and more appeared at locations he visited, even in his gym bag, and things between the two got strained as he threw accusations at her.

Flick gave it her all while maintaining her innocence, but everything came to a head when she tried to tell Mackenzie (Emily Weir) about Tane after seeing them together in Salt.

Tane openly ripped into Flick in the midst of the surf club after Mac informed her that an unknown person had followed her to her vehicle that night, a fight that Alf had to break up. Roo volunteered her assistance after witnessing Tane’s rage and seeing Flick literally quivering with terror.

Tane was summoned to Flick’s club to pick up an intoxicated Ryder, which heightened the situation even further.

Flick was enraged to see Tane at work, and despite the fact that he was only there for a brief period, he managed to disrespect her friend and coworker Anna (Megan Smart).

Felicity sought to put an end to matters the next morning by speaking with Tane, but Mac’s meddling only led to another fight between the two.

She confided in Cash when she was at her wit’s end, telling him all that had been going on and expressing her fear of Tane.

Cash decides to take severe action and issues an AVO (Apprehended Violence Order) against Tane, forbidding him from approaching Felicity for any reason, in the last episode of the year, which airs on 5STAR this Friday 19th November and Channel 5 on Monday 22nd November.

Tane, stunned, goes to Flick, who is standing nearby, and tells him that he should be taking one out on her!

Tane nearly comes to blows with the town’s new cop when Nik (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) intervenes, insisting that she has been pestering him.

Flick can only watch in disbelief.

Later at the diner, Cash and Jasmine (Sam Frost) ask Flick if she wants to go to the gala evening with them, but she rejects. Despite the fact that Cash and Jasmine are both concerned about her, she assures that she will be OK with the AVO in place; all she wants is a quiet evening at home alone.

Tane is working late at the gym that night when we notice a strange person drugging a bottle of sports drink, which they subsequently replace with the one Tane is drinking.

Tane collapses on the floor a little while later as he begins to feel drowsy. He cries for rescue when he sees a stranger coming, but the invisible visitor merely lays a single rose on his chest.

The unknown assailant then puts up a pesticide sprayer and turns it on, spraying the chemical straight on him.

Unfortunately, the mist quickly circulates through the surf club’s ventilation system, contaminating the gala dinner upstairs at Salt!

Could Tane’s assailant be poised to murder scores of people?
