Theo Poulos’ past will be explored in a future plotline on Home and Away.
Since his arrival in Summer Bay last year, Leah Patterson’s troubled nephew has been a contentious figure, but the soap has now begun to explore a softer side to his character.
An unexpected new plot for Theo has been promised in a new promo aired in Australia, as fans realise that there’s more to his behaviour than meets the eye.
In next week’s Australian episodes, Theo will confide in John Palmer (Shane Withington), according to the sneak peek clip.
When John notices something is off, he asks Theo who he is terrified of.
“Theo, you have to go to the police,” John recommends after hearing the facts.
“You can’t tell anyone about this,” Theo responds.
Theo worries about John’s next move in a later moment and asks: “Isn’t it true that you’re going to inform Justin? If I had known you were going to blab, I would never have said anything.”
In the meanwhile, the teaser teases: “Do you know somebody who is overconfident? Confident? What if it’s all just a ruse?”
Last year, Matt Evans, who plays Theo, remarked about this plot in response to the divided response to his character.
In November, he told the New Zealand website Stuff: “There are still some secrets to be revealed. There’s more to his relationship with his father, and he’s attempting to conceal some events.”
“There’s something he needs to work out, and once he does, he’ll be a completely different guy,” Matt concluded.
These sequences will run on Channel 7 in Australia next week, and Channel 5 in the UK in April.
