Former Home and Away actress Jess Tovey has given birth to her first child.
The actress shared the exciting news on social media, along with the first photos of her new daughter.
“♥️ Scarlett ♥️,” she wrote, giving her beautiful daughter’s name.
Cassie Howarth, a former actress of Home and Away, was among the first to give her well wishes, writing: “She is stunning!!! Congratulations ?”
“Just so much light ?❤️?” Lincoln Younes added.
The actress, who portrayed Belle Taylor on the programme from 2006 to 2009, announced her pregnancy in June by posting a photo of her growing baby belly on Instagram.
She captioned one Instagram Story image, “What has two thumbs and just finished a 2 ½ hour social psychology test – this bisch,” before adding, “And all while a little human kicked me in the vag – so pretty thrilled with that.”
Jess has been seeing her boyfriend Damien Strouthos since 2017, and he was spotted in the backdrop of her baby belly photo with the emoji “No 1 dad.”
The brunette beauty is renowned for high-profile appearances on Paper Giants, Underbelly: The Golden Mile, Wonderland, and Bad Mothers, in addition to her tenure on Home and Away.
In an interview with Nine Honey in 2019, Jess said that portraying a mother on Bad Mothers taught her how big of a duty it is to raise a child.
“For me, the most interesting aspect of parenting is how it alters the centre of your universe. Which, as someone who hasn’t yet become a mother, I haven’t yet experienced,” she joked to the newspaper “I’m still the epicentre of my universe.”
We have a hunch that for Jess and Damien, things are about to change!
