Johnny Ruffo provides new update on his brain cancer battle: ‘Still fighting’

Johnny Ruffo, the former star of Home and Away, has shed new light on what it takes to fight brain cancer.

“Another round of radiation on the cards,” the actor and musician wrote on Facebook, referring to his current treatment of radiation.

One photo shows him wearing a frightening-looking radiation mask, while another shows the radiation room’s entrance.

Johnny wrote, “Still fighting this mofo!”

“Cancer, f***.”

Fans raced to the comments area of Johnny’s Instagram post, where he shared the same photographs.

Emily Symons, who starred in the TV show Home and Away, commented, “Sending you so much love Johnny.”

Georgie Parker commented, “Love to you, friend.”

“You’ve got this!” wrote PR queen Roxy Jacenko, encouragingly.

“You’re such a brave and amazing person. Tania Zaetta said, “Sending love and energy your way.”

In the comments, Tahnee Sims wrote a simple red loveheart emoji.

Johnny’s prior Valentine’s Day social media message was a touching tribute to his girlfriend.

He captioned a shot of the couple laughing together in fluffy hotel bathrobes, “Happy Valentine’s Day to this gorgeous lady.”

“Thank you for the laughs, for looking after me, and most importantly, for being you xxxxxx.”

After his brain cancer reappeared in late 2020, Johnny gave his followers regular social media updates on his second health battle.

“It is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know that after an unexpected week of seizures and severe migraines, I now have another enormous struggle ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned,” he wrote after his diagnosis.

“However, I’m going to dig deep and fight this s**t disease once more.”
