Sam Frost ‘splits from boyfriend Jay Bruno’ amid claims the Home and Away star’s controversial vaccine stance ‘drove a wedge’ between the couple

Sam Frost and her boyfriend Jay Bruno are said to have broken up.

During Sydney’s lockdown, the Home and Away actress, whose anti-vaccine attitude has seen her temporarily dropped from the show, and the Instant Hotel actor had moved in together.

According to Emerald City on Sunday, the bad press around her stance ‘drove a hole’ between Sam, 32, and her fiancé.

While Sam continues to follow Jay on Instagram, he does not reciprocate.

Sam’s spokesperson told the publication, ‘They are still close, Jay just lives in Melbourne and she is still in Sydney for work.’

The representative, however, did not elaborate on why Jay does not follow her on social media.

Sam Frost and Jay Bruno have been contacted by the Daily Mail Australia for further comment.

Bruno’s Instagram Stories on Saturday showed him in Melbourne with his arm on Network 10 senior assistant Eliza Crowder, however it’s unlikely they’re anything more than buddies.

According to Emerald City, the former radio host has left Sydney and returned to the Victorian capital.

Jay, who is from Melbourne, was originally rumoured to have moved into the home of the Home And Away actress in Sydney’s inner west in September.

According to the storey, Sam has stated that the two are “just friends,” but friends claim that “their connection has taken a romantic turn under lockdown.”

Sam confirmed she was single in July on Nova’s Fitzy And Wippa, where she joked about looking for an attractive male celebrity to join her’singles bubble during lockdown.’

Dave Bashford had been her previous boyfriend.

Meanwhile, Jay and international model Leah Johnsen called it quits in late 2019.

The announcement comes after Sam said she would be temporarily removed from Home and Away as she awaited a complete Covid-19 vaccination.

It comes after the reality TV personality made a stunning U-turn after previously claiming she would not be receiving the shot.

The incident began when Sam posted a video to Instagram last month in which she tearfully acknowledged she was unvaccinated and was having mental health issues as a result of others’ judgement.

‘I was extremely worried about shooting a video or even speaking up against this type of issue,’ she explained, ‘but I feel like the world is coming to a stage where there’s a lot more division today.’

Her video sparked a firestorm of criticism, largely due to her use of the word “segregation” to describe how society “judges” unvaccinated individuals.

Last month, Channel Seven established a vaccination requirement for all programming.

From January 10, the network declared it will “only engage fully vaccinated presenters, actors, and staff,” thus telling Sam, “Get the shot or face the sack.”

On Tuesday, she verified that she will be completely vaccinated by late February, around seven weeks after the vaccination mandate takes effect.

Until she’s doubly vaxxed, her character, nurse Jasmine Delaney, will be ‘written out temporarily.’
