In Neighbours, Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) has no idea that her husband Karl (Alan Fletcher) has made a dangerous investment with their retirement fund.
Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) put her foot down when Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) told her that he wanted to invest $20,000 of their retirement money in Montana Marcel’s (Tammin Sursok) cosmetics company.
Despite Susan’s orders, Karl saw it as an opportunity too good to pass up and made the investment without notifying her… The $20K is safe and well in their bank account, according to her!
Montana’s firm is on the verge of failure, which Karl is completely unaware of!
However, Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) snooped into Montana’s business dealings last week and couldn’t help but brag about the fact that she was on the verge of bankruptcy!
Doubts had begun to creep in after speaking with a sceptical Clive Gibbons (Geoff Paine) about his investment.
Montana promises Karl that he will see significant returns on his investment shortly, but he is concerned about deceiving Susan. If things go wrong, he’ll be in a lot of trouble!
Karl can only keep it a secret for so long.
