Rebekah Elmaloglou, who plays Terese Willis on Neighbours, has teased a second significant plotline for her character.
Regular viewers of Ramsay Street will be aware that she is now relapsing into alcoholism, but the soap’s writers, according to Elmaloglou, have another “interesting plot” in the works.

“Neighbours executives have been telling me for well over a year that they have two major stories coming up for Terese,” she recently told Inside Soap.
“So I’ve been lurking in the shadows of everyone else’s storylines for a while, and now that this tale has arrived, it’s smacked me in the face! There’s also another huge, thrilling narrative that they keep postponing for different reasons…”
Those reasons were left unspoken, although Elmaloglou spoke out later in the interview on playing Terese’s “weak” aspects: “I find it pretty challenging. It’s revealing a really vulnerable aspect of her, which is significantly more difficult than simply portraying her as normal and going to work. It’s raw and emotional, but I’m up for the challenge.

She observed, “This anecdote only goes to show that temptation is always present.” “It’s all about what’s going on in your life and how the stressors you’re dealing with might hold you back.”
“Horrible things happen, and Terese fights back – but it’s always a huge battle.”
